Ingredients
100% Grass-Fed Beef Tallow
Our tallow comes from grass-fed cattle raised on regenerative farms. No additives, preservatives, or chemicals - just pure, natural tallow.
How to Use
For Candle Making:
- Melt tallow slowly in a double boiler at low heat
- Add essential oils for scent if desired (optional)
- Pour into containers with pre-waxed cotton wicks
- Allow to cool and solidify completely (2-4 hours)
- Burn time: approximately 6-8 hours per ounce
For Skincare DIY Projects:
Note: For skincare use, we recommend wet rendering this tallow first for a smoother, more refined texture that's better for skin absorption. Our hand made skincare products use wet-rendered tallow.
- Melt and combine with carrier oils (jojoba, coconut, almond)
- Add beeswax for firmer balms (1 part wax to 3 parts tallow)
- Whip cooled mixture for fluffy body butter texture
- Mix with essential oils for aromatherapy benefits
- Create custom lip balms, hand balms, or body moisturizers
For Wood Care:
- Warm small amount in hands until soft
- Apply to clean, dry wood surface
- Rub in circular motions with soft cloth
- Allow to absorb for 15-30 minutes
- Buff excess with clean cloth for shine
- Repeat monthly or as needed for maintenance
- Perfect for cutting boards, wooden utensils, and wood furniture
Storage Tips:
- Store in original glass jar at room temperature
- Keep in cool, dark place away from direct sunlight
- Shelf life: 12-18 months when stored properly
- May solidify in cool temps, soften in warm temps
